With the popularity of rFactor growing rapidly, weve added a new rFactor section here at STS. Dont worry, your late model needs will still be fed just in multiple ways. Asphalt as well as dirt.Ive been fortunate to be apart of a very talented crew of dirt lovers making the diRt Factor mod for rFactor. I was only a paint scheme contributer, but was privileged to contribute to such a great mod. The dirt late model portion of DF has recently been released, but it doesnt stop there. Currently the talented DWR crew modelers are making progress on other dirt series for the game. In the works for future release are dirt modifieds for such series as IMCA, USMTS, WISSOTA, and UMP. ACT 2007 Carset Now Available

Maynard46 _WRITES " This car set has been 6 months in the making. Mad Dog Racer and I started work on this set before the season began back in May. Now that the season has ended and the Sim season has started we have put together 58 of the cars that ran the American Canadian Tour(ACT)and Thunder Road. Included in the set are the big guns, 8 time series champ Jean Paul Cyr, Brent Dragon, Rocket Roger Brown, Brian Hoar and some young guns as well, Ryan Nolin, series runner up Scott Payea, and we didn't leave out the legends who made their way back to ACT in 07. Bobby Dragon and Robbie Crouch who dominated ACT in the 80's were back in 2007 as well.
The Car set comes complete ratings(done with snyderarts spread sheet) and pit crew for the most realistic experience.

10th Annual All American 400 Registration opens!

JFoose _WRITES "(Cleveland, OH) The 10th Annual All American 400 has begun registering drivers to compete in the event. This will mark the 3rd event hosted and sanctioned by the American Sim Racing Series (ASRS), who took the event over in 2005 from the former USA Series. The event which has grown from a 100 lap event to the current format which includes 4 days of racing on the same track will end with the traditional 400 lap, All American 400. For the first time, the event will be split into 2- 200 lap events, one featuring the ASRS East Series and the other featuring the ASRS RPM Late Model Series. In 2006, over 80 drivers signed up for the event with 53 officially making an attempt at starting the event. " Note:

Derek and Joey available!

Nitrous56 _WRITES "Derek Ramstrom and Joey Porciello, both two young guns in the PASS North Series are now availble for use with the LMPv2 mod. Joey won the season opener at Beech Ridge and Derek has grabbed himself a Heat win. Crew and Ratings included for both cars. Derek has two cars that are up for download, one he uses currently and the other from early 2007. Special thanks to Dube for help with the base on Derek's car. John Blewett III 1973-2007

Nitrous56 _WRITES "Thursday August 16, 2007, Whelen Modified Tour driver John Blewett III was killed in a crash that involved himself and his brother Jimmy Blewett at the Thompson Speeway. Short Track Sim would like to say that our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Blewett family. We have lost a true competitor in the Short Track racing community.
