Nitrous56 _WRITES "First 2008 Camping World East Series car available for download here at Short Track Sim. Austin Dillon, grandson to the legendary Richard Childress will be bringing the #3 back to Stock Car racing this season in the Camping World East Series under the RCR banner. With the cars coming from Andy Santerre's shop, which had fielded the 44 car to championships, and Austin's past success, I can see this team as a contender and maybe turning heads as Logano's '07 campaign did. Car comes with crew, ratings to come after first few races of the season. For use with the 07bgn mod by SSnet. Enjoy!

PBoswell _WRITES "As many of you have probably noticed, the ShortTrackSim.com site has been down for nearly a week. The first night of my knowledge of the site being down I spent nearly six hours scouring through access logs, ftp logs, and all the other applicable stuff. I came across something interesting. We had definitely been hacked.
After many long nights, phone calls, trial and error, blood, sweat, tears (ok so maybe not the last blood and tears), I have finally gotten us back up and running.
In the mean time, I have completely wiped out all STS Staff FTP access. I need all of the staff to please contact me regarding FTP access. The best way to contact is via email or private message.

Mansfield Motorsports Park 2007 Edition

JFoose _WRITES "Mansfield Motorsports Park 2007 Edition has arrived!
The 1/2 mile bullring located in Ohio has hosted the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series since 2004.
What was done since the Mansfield_2006 version:
1. Changed pavement back to old pavement. Added patches and markings on pavement.
2. New SAFER Barriers added.
3. Wall paint updated to 2007 style.
4. Billboards updated to 2007 style.
5. Decreased grip. (The middle groove still is the preferred line, but you can drive on the low side now).
6. Few new Setups added.
7. Added Commit lines on pit road.

While ARCA does not race at night in 2008, and has not in a few years you can recall memories of races past (like the Frank Kimmel vs. David Ragan race at night in 2005). Pick it up in the Downloads/ Short Tracks Section. Enjoy!
